Results are in on letting the Kombucha culture for 14 days. I already posted about the 30 day and it being borderline vinegar which tasted really good but nothing I would want to drink daily because it was to acidic so I using it for salads.

Beet Kvass…..what is it? A highly nutrient dense drink made with beets into a lacto fermented beverage. Beets are loaded with nutrients that aids digestion, alkalizes the blood, cleanses the liver, treatment of kidney stones and many other ailments. It’s a well know daily beverage in Ukranian homes.

No, the strainer isn’t full of cottage cheese! These are kefir grains for those that don’t know what they are. My grains have been resting way to long in the back of the refrigerator shelf. Tonight I got 2 – half gallon jars filled and now ready to culture. Kefir unlike yogurt is not thick.
